Mexican grocer Super Aki unifies supply chain processes
Super Aki is optimizing supply chain planning, pricing and promotion management, and space planning throughout its enterprise.
The Mexico-based grocery chain is implementing the Relex Solutions unified supply chain platform. Super Aki will leverage the solution to integrate major supply chain workflows across its 51 stores, distribution center, and e-commerce channels.
The retailer will receive help in achieving supply chain goals such as accurate omnichannel forecasting for fresh produce, perishables, and ambient goods. In addition, by implementing unified solutions across supply chain planning, pricing, promotions, and space management, Super Akí intends to predict customer demand patterns more effectively, optimize inventory levels, and reduce waste while ensuring product availability.

As a result of these improvements in its supply chain operations, Super Aki expects to obtain fresher products on shelves, fewer stockouts, and a more efficient operation, resulting in an enhanced in-store shopping experience that will help drive growth.
"Relex’s ability to unify supply chain planning, pricing and promotions, and shelf space management within a single platform was instrumental in our decision," said Eduardo Arjona, CIO of Super Akí. "We will be able to improve our end-to-end operations and decision-making capabilities, which will lead to significantly improving our forecasting accuracy and ultimately, delivering exceptional shopping experiences to our customers."
The implementation will take place in three phases, and the AI-driven forecasting and replenishment system includes specialized optimization for fresh products to help Super Aki ensure minimal waste and maximum freshness.
In addition, Super Aki will utilize advanced promotional planning and price optimization tools to enhance market responsiveness and profitability and leverage the platform's unified store and cluster-level planogram optimization capabilities to improve space utilization, supported by capacity optimization and purchase optimization features.
"The Relex unified planning solutions will help Super Akí achieve their goals of enhanced customer service and improved forecasting precision," said Carlos Victoria, senior VP for the Americas at RelexSolutions. "Our technology will enable Super Akí to make more accurate, data-driven decisions that will strengthen their operational efficiency and create an even better shopping experience for their customers."
Relex partner, Logic, part of Accenture, will provide delivery and technology advisory services to help Relex tailor its solutions to the specific requirements of the Mexican retail market.
